FIELD: medicine; surgical ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to restore the patency of the lacrimal ducts (SOP). If the patency of the horizontal section of the SOP is impaired, the Helaflow drainage gel is injected directly into the patient’s sitting position and gaze. First, a test drop of gel is injected into the lacrimal sac. When it passes freely into the SOP, a cannula with gel is inserted into the lower or upper lacrimal opening while retracting the corresponding eyelid. It is slid along the lower or upper lacrimal canaliculus until it touches the side wall of the nasal bone. Then, under pressure, the gel is introduced, while withdrawing the cannula with the gel from the lower or upper lacrimal canaliculus until the lacrimal openings are filled with gel and a return drop appears from the lower or upper lacrimal canaliculus.
EFFECT: invention ensures the restoration of the patency of the oral cavity, eliminates the infection of the oral cavity, enhances the outflow of tear fluid, and is well tolerated.
