FIELD: oil, gas and coke-chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil refining and petrochemical industry. In particular, the invention relates to a micro-mesoporous catalyst for isomerisation of the aromatic fraction C-8, consisting of a support containing, wt.%: micro-mesoporous zeolite of MOR type 50.0–70.0; aluminium oxide – up to 100, and platinum group metal deposited on the support in amount of 0.5–5.0% of the weight of the support. Active phase of the support, consisting of MOR-type zeolite, has a system of micro-mesopores formed by micropores of MOR zeolite and mesoporous channels formed as a result of recrystallisation of aluminosilicate nanotubes of halloysite.
EFFECT: catalyst has higher efficiency, higher activity, leading to higher conversion of ethylbenzene and output of target para-xylene.
