SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to automated racks and cabinets for products intended for ophthalmic lenses. Cabinet for products includes a housing defining a storage area configured to receive a product, and a front surface. Cabinet includes a plurality of grooves, each groove being configured to receive a corresponding product unit, and a plurality of visual indicators configured to indicate the positions of the product units. Cabinet includes a scanning bar made with possibility of changing the position with possibility of sliding along the front surface of the housing, and a data collection device attached to the scanning bar and configured to collect information on the product. Cabinet includes a controller functionally connected to the data collection device. Controller is configured to account for the product based at least in part on the product information and to activate one or more visual indicators associated with the required product unit.
EFFECT: possibility of providing the patient with timely access to a wide range of contact lenses in real time, thanks to the function of automated inventory control, as well as providing product information for data analysis, in order to better provide new products that better meet the needs of patients.
