FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. To test the eye's contrast sensitivity function, a computerized system is used, including a computer, a high-resolution monitor, and a patient interface. Function of contrast sensitivity is checked using a series of test tables with inclined gratings by the method of forced choice, which are offered to the patient. In addition, use a synchronized sound prompt when demonstrating inclined grids. Record the correctness and incorrectness of the answer. Analyze responses using statistical methods of psychophysics. Function of contrast sensitivity is retained and plotted to obtain a quantitative result.
EFFECT: group of inventions accelerates the process of checking the contrast sensitivity of the eye and improves the accuracy of measuring the function of the contrast sensitivity of the eye.
