FIELD: measurement.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to flow analysers, for example, cytometers, where it is required to line cells or particles one by one for subsequent detection and determination of parameters of each detected cell or particle. Hydrofocusing cuvette consists of two parts. First part is a unit for preparation of hydrodynamic focusing, in which fluid flows are connected. Second part is the cuvette proper, in the body of which there are formed a focusing zone of liquids and a detection zone. Flow of focused fluid moves surrounded on all sides by squeezing fluid in the centre of the channel. Further, due to narrowing of the channel in the cuvette with a cone, the diameter of the flow and the squeezing and focused liquid decreases and after narrowing the channel, the flow of the focused liquid inside the flow of the squeezing liquid enters the detection channel. Necessary measurements of parameters of cells or particles, which are inside the focused liquid, are carried out through a window for optical access to the detection zone of the cuvette.

EFFECT: described is a cuvette with hydrodynamic focusing for flow analysis.
