SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a composition containing a base liquid, a silicate and an aromatic polyacid according to formula (I) or a salt thereof, where R1, R2 and R3 each is independently selected from a hydrogen atom, COOY, SO2(OY) or PO(OY)2; where Y denotes a hydrogen atom or a cation; where at least 2 of R1, R2 and R3 are not a hydrogen atom; where X1, X2 and X3 each is independently selected from a hydrogen atom, a hydroxyl group, alkyl, aryl, alcohol, aldehyde, ketone, ester, amide, or amine; and where the base fluid consists of water, alcohol or mixtures thereof. Invention also relates to a kit for preparing a composition, use of the compound and a heat exchange method.

EFFECT: proposed invention does not use conventional nitrites and/or borates, while it has comparable and/or improved corrosion inhibiting properties.
