FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a composition for use as a heat carrier. Composition contains a base liquid and at least one aliphatic carboxamide having molecular weight less than 500 g/mol. Base fluid consists of water and alcohol selected from the group consisting of monoethylene glycol, diethylene glycol, triethylene glycol, tetraethylene glycol, pentaethylene glycol, hexaethylene glycol, monopropylene glycol, 1,3-propanediol, dipropylene glycol, tripropylene glycol, tetrapropylene glycol, pentapropylene glycol, hexapropylene glycol, methanol, ethanol, propanol, butanol, tetrahydrofurfuril, ethoxylated furfuril, dimethyl ether of glycerol, sorbitol, 1,2,6-hexanetriol, trimethylolpropane, methoxyethanol and glycerol; wherein the alcohol is present in an amount in range of 10−99 wt.% of the weight of the base liquid, wherein the aliphatic carboxamide is not adipamide and/or N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone. Invention also relates to use of the composition as a heat carrier.

EFFECT: composition retains low specific conductivity during aging at high temperatures.
