FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to otorhinolaryngology and aesthetic surgery. Modelled helix is marked. Skin is incised along the posterior surface of the auricle. Leaf-shaped skin 5 mm wide is excised. Tissue detachment is performed above the perichondrium to the level of forming sutures. Three mattress sutures are applied through cartilage and anterior perichondrium with prolene 4.0 suture. Shape of the antihelix is modelled and the suture is tightened. Excised skin is placed in sterile 0.9% sodium chloride solution heated to 98 degrees Celsius for 20 s. Exfoliated epidermis is removed with a scalpel. Treated dermis is placed above the modelling sutures. Wound is closed with interrupted sutures through all layers with prolene 4.0 suture.
EFFECT: method enables avoiding ligature contouring, formation of ligature fistulas and gross cicatricial deformations, preserving aesthetic parameters in the area of intervention, preventing secondary complications and recurrences in the surgical treatment of protruding ears.
