FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of converting a hydrocarbon feedstock having a feedstock temperature into a hydrocarbon effluent stream having an effluent temperature by hydrotreating in the presence of a material which is catalytically active in hydrotreatment and a certain amount of hydrogen, wherein said conversion is exothermic and wherein a certain amount of said effluent is solidified at a hardening temperature above said temperature of the feedstock and below said temperature of the effluent stream, and wherein said raw material is preheated by heat exchange using thermal energy from said output stream, wherein said heat exchange is carried out by means of a fluid heat exchange medium, physically separated from said raw material and said output stream, and having a temperature higher than said solidification temperature. Invention also relates to a method and a system for hydrotreating a hydrocarbon stream.
EFFECT: process has high energy efficiency, while simultaneously preventing hardening in process lines, in particular during hydrotreating of raw materials containing halides, such as plastic wastes or a product of thermal decomposition of plastic wastes, other products of thermal decomposition processes, as well as fossil raw material containing halides, including kerogen raw material, such as coke resin, coal tar or shale oil.
