FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: flameless smoke bomb relates to training facilities for military-sports games and reconstruction of historical events using smoke. Flameless smoke bomb, launched remotely from an electric igniter or manually from an igniter-match, contains a plastic housing with pyrotechnic equipment, which is closed by a plastic cover with a functional hole. Electric igniter through the central channel formed in the pyrotechnic equipment adjoins the pellet from the igniting composition, and its wires are brought to the outer surface of the plastic cover, which presses the polyethylene film in tension to the plastic housing. Igniter-match in the polyethylene bag is fixed on the outer surface of the plastic cover by means of a tape with a sticky layer, and the grater for igniting the igniter-match is attached to the cover by the adhesive side. Pyrotechnic equipment is made from a moulding composition containing a mixture of powders of high- and low-molecular weight chlorine-containing resins with a weight fraction of chlorine of up to 80%, zinc oxide as a smoke-forming agent, ammonium perchlorate as an oxygen-containing oxidant, ammonium chloride as a flame arrester and a low-molecular weight chlorine-containing resin in liquid form, with the following ratio of components, wt.%: mixture of powders of high- and low-molecular chlorine-containing resins 30–40, zinc oxide 20–30, ammonium perchlorate 20–30, ammonium chloride 5–10, low-molecular chlorine-containing resin in liquid form 10–15.

EFFECT: expansion of functional and technological capabilities of structural elements of smoke bombs, wherein the solution is the creation of a flameless smoke bomb having a relatively low combustion temperature in combination with intense aerosol formation, with possibility of manual or remote actuation and characterized by absence of flame combustion.
