FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to psychophysiology and is intended for use in medicine, ergonomics, sports, occupational physiology and experimental psychology in determining the master hemisphere. Electromyography (EMG) of arm muscles is recorded, scatterograms of amplitude and frequency of EMG turns are plotted and compared. Measurements are carried out in three stages: - at the first stage, the EMG of the pointing right hand, which is lifted to the horizontal level, is recorded, simultaneously the EMG of the reproducing left hand lifted to the level reached by the right hand; - at the second stage, the EMG of the pointing left hand is recorded, which is raised to the horizontal level, while the EMG of the reproducing right hand is recorded, which is raised to the level reached by the left hand; - at the third stage, EMG of the right hand and EMG of the left hand are recorded simultaneously to a horizontal level; amplitude-frequency analysis of the obtained EMG turns is performed. Three combined graphs are plotted on the basis of the obtained results: - on the first one - scatterograms of amplitude and frequency of turns of indicating right hand and reproducing left hand; - on the second - scatterograms of amplitude and frequency of turns of indicating left hand and reproducing right hand; - on the third - scatterograms of amplitude and frequency of turns of the right and left hands. Results of amplitude-frequency analysis of turns are presented in the form of a cloud of points on three separately constructed scatterograms. By displacement upwards, downwards, to the right, to the left, the clouds of scatterograms obtained at the first two stages of the method implementation relative to the scatterogram of the third stage, conclusion is made on the dominance of the cerebral hemisphere, at the same time when the clouds of the second and third graphs are combined, a conclusion is made on the right-hemisphere dominance; when combining clouds of the first and third graphs - on left hemisphere dominance; and if no cloud alignment is detected in the compared graphs, a conclusion is made on the non-dominant interhemispheric interaction.
EFFECT: method, by creating conditions for temporary dominance of one hemisphere relative to another, provides higher accuracy of determining the leading cerebral hemisphere with minimum time and effort of participants, does not require complex equipment and financial costs.
