FIELD: technology of water and air purification.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for producing fresh water from water vapors contained in ambient air, and can be used to obtain fresh water mainly in coastal areas with seas. Device consists of a container with an open top immersed into a reservoir with sea water so that its walls extend beyond the surface of the water. Upper edge of the container is equipped with visors to prevent ingress of splashes from sea waves inside, which face the center of the container at an angle to the horizontal plane. Inside the tank there is a through channel for the flow of sea water, located between the two opposite walls of the tank and arranged so that one end of the channel is located at the surface of the water, and the other is lower with an inclination within range of 20–45°. Cross-section of the path has the shape of a triangle, the base of which faces the bottom of the reservoir, and the top faces the surface of the water body. Length of the triangle base is less than the width of the container in the direction perpendicular to the arrangement of the path. Angle between lateral ribs of triangle is within 90–140°. Above the channel there is a solar collector fixed on the side surfaces of the tank and having through holes in the vertical direction. Path is located so that there is an air gap between its lower surface and the upper surface. In the immediate vicinity of the above end of the path in the sea water there is an actuating mechanism of a wind energy converter, which is a rotating shaft with a blade mechanism for injecting sea water into the path. Wind energy converter is attached from outside to side surface of reservoir. At the bottom of the reservoir there is a vessel for fresh water. Reservoir is located at the surface of the water body by floats. Under the path for sea water flow in the same way as it, there are additional paths similar in shape and size, in amount of three to five, arranged one above the other at distance of 10 to 15 centimeters from the lower surface of the previous one to the upper edge of the next one. Distance from the lower surface of the lower path for sea water flow to the lower surface of the reservoir is not less than half of its height. Wind energy converter is equipped with a device providing sea water head in all channels for sea water flow.
EFFECT: increased area of condensation of the device and increased volume of produced fresh water.
