FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydrogen power engineering, alternative energy sources, particularly electrochemical devices (fuel cells, electrolysers, etc.). Electrolytes based on caesium dihydrophosphate and fluoroplastic-2M (F-2M) are promising in membrane-electrode units of fuel cells in the temperature range of 200–270 °C, which is an advantage in comparison with a membrane from the initial salt. Said proton-conducting membranes are obtained by solid-phase synthesis and strip casting. In solid-phase synthesis, caesium dihydrophosphate is ground in a mortar, then a calculated amount of F-2M is added, and the mixture is stirred. Acetone and dimethylformamide (volume ratio 1:1) are added to the mixture of caesium dihydrophosphate and F-2M, as a result, a homogeneous suspension is formed, which is applied on a substrate using an applicator to obtain thin films with a thickness ~ 40–80 mcm.
EFFECT: creation of proton membranes of (1-x)CsH2PO4 – xF-2M (x is weight fraction, x=0,05–0,2) with high conductivity in the temperature range of 200–270 °C, having improved mechanical and hydrophobic characteristics, which widens the range of operation of fuel cells based on them.
