FIELD: oil industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil industry and is intended for tight separation of media in tubing string during operation of submersible installation of electric centrifugal pump on load-carrying cable. Mechanical packer has a through channel and includes a sealing unit with a support installed with possibility of axial movement, an anchor unit located below the sealing unit. Shut-off valve is mounted between the sealing unit and the anchor unit, and an upper anchor unit is additionally placed above the sealing unit. Sealing unit is made in the form of two differently directed cup cuffs. Shut-off valve is made in the form of a housing with a piston moving inside it under the action of pressure difference, having radial holes aligned with holes on the housing. Shut-off valve is made with possibility of its opening by means of piston movement by way of well fluid flow from the zone above the sealing unit, through channels in the side wall of the support, into the piston cavity. In the open position of the shut-off valve, the radial holes of the piston are aligned with the holes on the housing with the possibility of extracting well fluid from the zone under the sealing unit by forming openings connecting the inner cavity above the shut-off valve with the space of the tubing string, in which a mechanical packer is installed with a submersible installation of an electric centrifugal pump on a load-carrying cable.

EFFECT: improving reliability and tightness of the mechanical packer and enlarging the possibility of its application due to use in wells with gas, oil and water inflows and on the shelf.
