FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of fumigation of products and premises and can be used in agriculture during storage of potato tubers. Method for long-term storage of potato tubers involves fumigation of tubers in storage not later than five days after harvesting with the help of bulk blocks, which form thick smoke. Bulk blocks are arranged evenly throughout the storage or at the beginning of ventilation channels in the storage with a tightly closed room and active ventilation. Bulk block contains a lid, a waterproof match and a jar filled with a preparation in which a pyrotechnic composition and a mixture of active substances are distributed. Mixture of active substances used is a germination inhibitor chlorpropham—2.0 g/t and thiabendazole fungicide—3.5 g/t.
EFFECT: inhibition of sprouting, reduction of diseases and losses of potato tubers by means of application of preparations safe for environment.
