FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a four-roll helical rolling mill roll assembly. Roll assembly consists of two pairs of driven rolls. One pair consists of mushroom-shaped rolls. Second pair of rolls has a barrel shape. Feed angle of all rolls is 18°. Mushroom rolls rolling angle is 7°. Angles of inlet and outlet cones of barrel-shaped rolls are 3°. Angle of the input cone of the mushroom-shaped rolls is 10°, and the angle of the outlet cone is 4°. Ratio of diameter of barrel-shaped rolls to diameter of mushroom-shaped rolls in pinch is 1.3–1.4. Roll rotation frequency is set based on condition of equality of peripheral speeds in section of rolled product output.

EFFECT: as a result, workpieces with diameter deviation not exceeding 0.1 mm are obtained.
