FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: what is described is a method for prediction of risk of malignant diseases of mammary gland and ovaries in patients after kidney transplantation. Method involves venous blood sampling from a patient not earlier than 60 days after kidney transplantation, extraction of DNA from the obtained sample, preparation of DNA libraries, DNA sequencing. In case of detection in patients after kidney transplantation BRIP1 gene mutation variant in heterozygous state in 2nd exon of 20, leading to replacement of amino acid lysine with asparagine in position 14 – p.Lys14Asn, missense mutation, high risk of malignant diseases of mammary gland or ovaries is predicted.
EFFECT: detection of predisposition to breast cancer and ovarian cancer in patients after kidney transplantation.
