DEVICE FOR REDUCING THERMAL EFFECT ON SEALING DEVICE OF GEOPHYSICAL CABLE OR WIRE FROM EXCESS PRESSURES AT WELLHEAD Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC E21B33/03 F16J15/46 E21B47/01

Abstract RU 2821630 C1

FIELD: heat engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for reducing thermal effect on a device for sealing a geophysical cable or wire from excess pressures at the wellhead. Device is made with possibility of installation between wellhead equipment and sealing device of logging cable or wire. Device consists of lower and upper attachment assemblies spaced apart by means of bearing posts connected to lower and upper attachment assemblies and made in such a way that they have a large side surface area in relation to the cross-sectional area. Device also comprises a thermal expansion compensator made in the form of a stationary or replaceable tube, made with possibility of geophysical cable or wire passing inside it. Lower end of the tube is attached to the lower attachment assembly through a seal made of thermally expanded graphite. Upper end of the tube has sealing rings and is attached to the upper attachment point. Thermal expansion compensator is made with possibility of longitudinal movement inside upper attachment unit. Lower and upper attachment points are made with possibility of geophysical cable or wire passing. Lower attachment assembly is made with possibility of attachment to wellhead equipment. Upper attachment point is with a device for sealing the geophysical cable or wire.

EFFECT: reduction of heat load on sealing device of geophysical cable or wire.
