FIELD: electric power industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to relay protection equipment and can be used for protection of electrical installation against short circuits and overloads. Electric installation current protection device contains a plate, a time-setting unit, an actuating unit, from three to twelve reed relays, mounting angles, voltage amplifiers according to the number of reed relays, a microcontroller, two boxes, inside of which the above elements are fixed. According to the invention, according to the number of reed relays, intermediate relays with the first and second groups of switching contacts and time relays are introduced, n+2 (where n is the number of reed relays) indicating relays, an alternating voltage source, three timers, a voltage divider, a button and an AND element. Indicating relays are connected to an AND element, a time relay and an actuating unit. Time relays are connected to reed relays. Each of the outputs of the timers is connected through contacts of intermediate relays to the inputs of the amplifiers.
EFFECT: possibility of detecting faults in the protection device.
