FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: relay protection method used as maximum current protection of electrical installations. Maximum current protection on reed switches contains an electrically insulating body made in the form of a hollow support insulator with a cap and body, a first strip, mounting angles, a replaceable element made in the form of a second rectangular strip on which three reed switches are fixed, a pulse counter and an output relay. According to the invention, three control windings are introduced, each of which is attached to one of the reed switches, an alternating voltage source, an intermediate relay, AND, OR elements, a timer and a button, and all these elements, except the control windings, are located in the relay compartment of the complete switchgear cell.
EFFECT: increasing the reliability of protection by identifying faults in the elements of the protection circuit.
