FIELD: medicine; urology-andrology; ultrasonic diagnostics.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to diagnose preoperative testicular anomaly—bell clapper deformity. Patient is examined after spontaneous detorsion and in the absence of signs of testicular torsion with moderate accumulation of fluid under testicular membranes and in its horizontal position, a spermatic cord surrounded by liquid on all sides is imaged by ultrasound. When fixing the testicle with traction in the caudal direction with simultaneous upward movement of the intrathecal fluid, a sensor is placed above the spermatic cord in the horizontal plane and when observing how the liquid moves abnormally high along the spermatic cord inside the vaginal membrane of the peritoneum and surrounds the spermatic cord, the presence of a bell clapper deformity, a bell clapper symptom is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method enables detecting a preoperative bell clapper deformity by ultrasonic visualization of the intrathecal fluid at the moment of its displacement along the spermatic cord.
