METHOD FOR PREVENTING RELAPSE IN TESTICULAR TWISTING AND ITS PROPHYLAXIS IN CHILDREN AND TEENAGERS Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2231306 C1

FIELD: medicine, urology, pediatrics.

SUBSTANCE: one should fix testicle in scrotum. Testicular deserosing is performed by evaporating visceral folium of testicular sheath in fixation points at section of 0.3 x 0.3 cm size with carbonic acid laser scalpel in impulse-periodic mode of radiation: 5 W power, impulse duration of 5 sec, duration of pauses being 0.01 sec, radiation time being 5 sec, diameter of laser ray spot being 0.3 mm. Simultaneously, one should force gas flows into area of laser impact, moreover the gas that does not maintain combustion, at specific consumption referred to the section of output opening of leading tube being 72 l/min/sq.cm. Then comes fenestration of parietal folium of sheath membrane at sections of 0.5 x 0.5 size at the site of testicular fixation with laser scalpel in uninterrupted mode of radiation, 10 W power, diameter of laser ray spot being 0.3 mm, at simultaneous supply of gas not maintaining combustion at specific consumption being 72-108 l/min/sq. cm. Fixing sutures are applied between deserosed protein and fleshy testicular membranes through fenestration section of parietal folium of testicular sheath with absorbable suturing material. The method enables to increase efficiency in preventing the relapse in testicular twisting and preventing twisting in counterlateral testicle in children and teenagers.

EFFECT: higher efficiency.
