FIELD: biotechnology; agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention is a method of producing dihaploid plants of winter wheat from cultivated anthers in vitro, characterized by that stress treatment of ears with cold in field conditions, in laboratory conditions, they are placed in a refrigerator at +4±1° C at first in water for 1 day, and then in a plastic bag for 7 days, anthers are removed from cold-treated ears, isolated anthers are cultured on a modified medium for inducing embryogenesis, which additionally contains 6% starch, 0.05 mg/l of biotin, 2.0 2.4-D, at high temperature of +27 °C, plants are regenerated from embryoids by culturing on a modified nutrient medium containing 1.0 mg/l of “БАП” and 0.2 mg/l of indolyl-3-acetic acid, roots of haploid wheat plants are thoroughly washed with distilled water before their treatment with colchicine for doubling of chromosomes and obtaining dihaploid plants, soft adaptation ex vitro is performed in a specially selected substrate consisting of peat – 5 parts, river sand – 2 parts, vermiculite – 1 part, and hardening of obtained dihaploid plants ex vivo.

EFFECT: anther preservation efficiency during the proposed cold treatment was 8–10% for all investigated varieties, regardless of the genotype; output of haploid plants when using modified nutrient media and physical conditions was higher by 2%; survival rate of regenerated plants increased by 5–7%; thus, the total efficiency of technology is 18–20 dihaploid plants per one ear used; this indicates a sufficiently high efficiency of the proposed method.
