FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to otorhinolaryngology, and can be used for prevention of recurrent epistaxis in a patient. Large vessels of the mucous membrane of the Kiesselbach-Little's area zone are exposed to laser radiation in a distant mode with wavelength of 450 nm, power of 5 W, in a pulsed mode with a pulse duration of the working radiation of 0.02 sec. Additionally, as a haemostatic preparation, tranexamic acid is prescribed in dosage of 1,000 mg 3 times a day for first 7 days after the laser exposure procedure.
EFFECT: method enables to prevent recurrent nosebleeds in children and adults without mucosal injuries.
