METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE TECHNIQUE OF SURGERY FOR PLASTIC CLOSURE OF NASAL SEPTUM PERFORATION Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61B17/00 G09B23/28 A61B17/24

Abstract RU 2763415 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely to otorhinolaryngology. When planning an operation to close the perforation of the nasal septum, the dimensions of the perforation of the nasal septum are measured and its area is calculated. Then the preserved sections of the nasal septum are measured and their total area is calculated. At the same time, to close the perforation of the nasal septum with a flap on the feeding leg from the anterior latticed artery, the preserved sections of the nasal septum and the bottom of the nasal cavity located behind the perforation are measured. To close the perforation of the nasal septum using cross flaps of preserved tissues located above and below the perforation with the inclusion of a reserve of the mucous membrane from the arch and bottom of the nasal cavity, the dimensions of the preserved tissues of the nasal septum and tissues from the arch and bottom of the nasal cavity located above and below the perforation for each side are measured. The ratio of the perforation area and the area of the preserved sections of the nasal septum is calculated. If the size of the preserved tissues exceeds the size of the perforation by 20%, this makes it possible to form a vascularized flap of the required size to completely close the perforation.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to determine the ratio of the size of the perforation of the nasal septum and the preserved sections of the nasal septum to select the place of formation of vascularized flaps and the presence of branches of feeding vessels that can fully close the perforation of the nasal septum, improve the quality of surgical care and reduce the number of reperforation and residual caudal defects.
