METHOD OF WOUND TREATMENT AFTER PERICORONAROTOMY OR PERICORONARECTOMY Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61N5/00

Abstract RU 2821829 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to surgical dentistry, maxillofacial surgery, and is intended for use in the postoperative period after pericoronarotomy or pericoronarectomy with underlying obstructed eruption in the lower third molar. Localized irradiation is carried out using an apparatus with ultraviolet radiation in range of 240–320 nm and a removable nozzle tube, the outlet hole of which is placed above the lower third molar at distance of 3–5 mm parallel to the occlusal plane of the adjacent teeth. Radiation is performed on the day of the operation in amount of 1st dose 90 sec, on 2nd day 90 sec, on 3rd day 60 sec, on 4th day 60 sec, on 5th day 30 sec, on 6th day 30 sec, with its daily closure with a tampon impregnated with aqueous 0.05% chlorhexidine bigluconate solution for 20 minutes. Starting from 2nd day, before the treatment session, the wound is antiseptic with aqueous 0.05% chlorhexidine bigluconate solution in amount of 5 ml from a syringe with a blunt cannula, wherein solution temperature is equal to 22–25 °C, and treatment is carried out by jet. Ultraviolet irradiation is carried out with the help of an ultraviolet radiation apparatus "SOLNYSHKO".

EFFECT: method by using a removable nozzle tube for the "SOLNYSHKO" apparatus, which produces a localized ultraviolet radiation of the postoperative wound area, as well as adherence to the radiation procedure algorithm, enables to prevent the development of local infectious-inflammatory, purulent-septic complications.
