METHOD OF WOUND TREATMENT AFTER COMPLEX REMOVAL OF THE LOWER THIRD MOLAR Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61B17/24 A61N5/00 A61P1/02

Abstract RU 2807867 C1

FIELD: medicine; surgical dentistry; maxillofacial surgery.

SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for use after complex removal of the lower third molar. The next day after surgery, the Solnyshko UFO device is prepared. The installed tube-nozzle is placed in the patient's mouth, placing the exit hole above the postoperative wound in the projection of the lower third molar, and irradiation is carried out with ultraviolet radiation in the range of 240–320 nm, starting from the 1st day. After irradiation, the postoperative wound is closed with a sterile swab soaked in an aqueous 0.05% solution of chlorhexidine digluconate. After 20 minutes, the tampon is removed, and before each session, the hole is antiseptically treated with an aqueous 0.05% solution of chlorhexidine digluconate in a volume of 5 ml, in a stream, from a syringe with a blunt cannula. On the 1st day of treatment, irradiation is carried out for 30 seconds, at a distance of 2–3 mm from the postoperative wound, on the 2nd day, irradiation is carried out for 60 seconds, at a distance of 2–3 mm from the postoperative wound, on the 3rd day irradiation for 90 seconds, at a distance of 2–3 mm from the postoperative wound; on the 4th day, irradiation is carried out for 120 seconds, at a distance of 2–3 mm from the postoperative wound.

EFFECT: due to localized irradiation of the wound with ultraviolet radiation, the method allows to prevent local infectious-inflammatory and purulent-septic complications.
