FIELD: powder metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of diamond rock cutting tool. It can be used for production of diamond crowns, bits and reamers. In the mold, powders of diamond grains and charge of matrix material are placed, which contains powder of adhesion-active to diamond material with grain size of 30–100 mcm in amount of 4–5 % of weight of charge of matrix material. Then an activator is added in the form of an aqueous solution of calcium chloride in amount of 3.5–4.5 % of the weight of the charge of the matrix material; pressing and impregnation with a binding material are carried out.
EFFECT: higher wettability of diamond grains with metal and improved fixation of diamonds in matrix.
