FIELD: veterinary science; virology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to veterinary virology and biotechnology. Described is a test system for determining the titre of antibodies against complete viral particles of the strain "O/Kenya/2017" of the foot-and-mouth disease virus using a liquid-phase "sandwich" ELISA version. Advantage of the developed test system is a long storage life of at least 5 years due to production of lyophilized immunospecific and non-immunospecific components and application of 1.8% sodium chloride.
EFFECT: proposed test system enables to create a highly specific and highly sensitive test system intended for quantitative detection of antibodies against complete particles of the strain "O/Kenya/2017" of the foot-and-mouth disease virus in blood serum of animals based on liquid-phase enzyme immunoassay in a wide range of 4-15 log2 SN50 (1:16–1:32,768) for retrospective diagnosis of foot-and-mouth disease.
