FIELD: metal forming.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in production of shafts for gas turbine engines. Vacuum ingot is produced from electrode by directed crystallisation in copper mold of constant cross-section. Homogenizing annealing of the ingot is carried out according to the mode, which includes fitting the ingot without preliminary roughing into a furnace heated to a temperature of not higher than 600 °C and holding for at least one hour, then, temperature is raised to 1,180 °C at a rate of not more than 80 °/h and held for 24 hours. Ingot is subjected to forging with total forging reduction of not less than 4.0. At that, preliminary forging is performed with three deposits to obtain a workpiece, its heating to temperature not higher than 700 °C, holding at this temperature, then raising temperature to 1,200 °C or higher at a rate of not more than 90 °/h, holding for at least 50 minutes and not more than 8 hours 50 minutes and final forging. Variable cross-section forging is produced in which a process hole is drilled. Heat treatment of the obtained product is carried out in three stages.
EFFECT: possibility of obtaining shafts with homogeneous structure and high level of properties.
