FIELD: metal forming.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and may be used in production of seamless pipes by pressing at horizontal presses. Hollow billet is made by forging a vacuum ingot and cutting the obtained forging into measured billets or cutting electroslag ingot into measured billets with subsequent drilling of a through longitudinal hole in them. Billet is loaded into the press container until contact with the die, a press stamp with a press washer and a press needle is introduced. Billet is pressed out and the pipe is pressed with direct outflow of metal through the die hole. Pipe is separated from the press residue, after which the article is machined.
EFFECT: obtaining seamless pipes from copper heat-resistant alloys of required geometrical size and required quality.
