SUBSTANCE: invention relates to induction furnaces. For this purpose, the induction furnace crucible contains at least two electric circuits of induction heating, one of which is located around the side wall, and the other one is under the floor or in the floor of the crucible. One of the circuits contains an electric power generator connected to the inductor, and the other circuit has no electric power generator, but is in electromagnetic connection with the first one and consists of an auxiliary inductor and capacitors with adjustable total capacitance.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of melted charge heating and provision of possibility to control distribution of heating in heated volume.
