FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pediatric endocrinology, pediatrics and X-ray diagnostics, and can be used for differential diagnosis of morphological forms of congenital hyperinsulinism (CHI). Positron emission tomography (PET) with intravenous introduction of radiopharmaceutical preparation (RPP) 18F-dihydroxyphenylalanine (18F-DOPA) in dose of 4 MBq per 1 kg of patient’s body weight is performed, in 3D-reconstruction scanning mode. PET image of the pancreas obtained at 10–20 minutes is scanned by the Rainbow images color scheme. Pancreatic color coefficient is calculated using the program "Python module for differentiating forms of congenital hyperinsulinism 1.1". If the pancreatic color coefficient is ≥ 0.093, the focal form of CHI is diagnosed. If the pancreatic color coefficient is ≥ 0.093, a diffuse form of CHI is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method provides optimizing the differential diagnosis of morphological forms of CHI by determining the diagnostic criterion—pancreatic color coefficient.
