FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to radionuclide diagnostics, and can be used for assessing intensity of inflammatory process in children suffering tuberculosis. Radiopharmaceutical 99mTc-Technetril (technetium - methoxyisobutylisonitrile) is introduced into a cubital vein at rate of 7.4 MBq per 1 kg/weight. Starting from 20–25 minutes after introduction, scintigraphic and SPECT examination is performed. Pathological hyperfixation centres in the lungs and regional lymph nodes are determined as areas in which the ratio of the radiopharmaceutical accumulation in the focus to the accumulation of radiopharmaceuticals in the surrounding tissue is more than 12.0%. If the ratio of accumulation of radiopharmaceuticals in the focus to accumulation of radiopharmaceuticals in the surrounding tissue is equal to 12.0% to 25.0%, the first degree of manifestation of the inflammatory process is determined. If the ratio of accumulation of radiopharmaceuticals in the focus to accumulation of radiopharmaceuticals in the surrounding tissue is equal to 26.0% to 35.0%, then the second degree of manifestation of the inflammatory process is determined. If the ratio of the accumulation of radiopharmaceuticals in the focus to the accumulation of radiopharmaceuticals in the surrounding tissue is more than 35.0%, the third degree of manifestation of the inflammatory process is determined.

EFFECT: method provides fast and accurate assessment of inflammatory process in children suffering tuberculosis due to detection of foci of pathological hyperfixation in lungs and regional lymph nodes.
