FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to oncology, and can be used for examination of pelvic organs in patients with suspected tumour foci in lesser pelvis. PET/CT is performed with intravenous introduction of radiopharmaceutical preparation (RP). Radiopharmaceutical is administered 60 minutes before PET/CT. Radiopharmaceutical is one of the following preparations: 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose, 68Ga-PSMA, 68Ga-DOTA-TATE or 68Ga-DOTA-NOC. Immediately after the radiopharmaceutical is administered, urografin is orally administered to the patient. Iodine-containing radiopaque preparation is administered intravenously 10 minutes before the PET/CT scan, followed by an additional bolus introduction of the iodine-containing radiopaque preparation. After 45 seconds, PET/CT in the “whole body” mode is performed with the patient lying on his/her back, followed by the PET/CT of the pelvic region in the prone position with placing under the anterior abdominal wall of the foam cushion.

EFFECT: method provides high accuracy of detecting tumour foci in a lesser pelvis and recurrence of the disease after radical surgical treatment due to PET/CT with radiopharmaceutical, urografin and iodine-containing radiopaque preparation.
