FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used in production of links of caterpillar chain. Wire from at least first and second materials is wound on the frame. Formed coil is heated, after which it is flattened to the required shape with formation of a permanent joint. Wear-resistant steel can be used as the first material, and high-strength steel can be used as the second material. Wire can have different diameter. Before wire winding, an insert from wear-resistant steel can be fixed on the frame.
EFFECT: improving strength and wear-resistant properties of manufactured parts and simplifying the manufacturing process due to reducing the number of technological operations.
