SUBSTANCE: described is a method of predicting whether an ISV or a protein or a polypeptide containing at least one ISV generates protein interference in an immunoassay. Method comprises the steps of contacting said ISV or protein/polypeptide with an antibody which has been obtained from a human subject and has been selected/recovered based on its ability to recognize and/or bind to the C-terminus of said ISV; and determining whether said ISV, protein or polypeptide binds to said antibody in said immunoassay.
EFFECT: invention extends the range of means of predicting protein interference in immunoassay.
