FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a new method of reducing non-specific protein interference. The invention discloses a single variable domain (ISV) of an immunoglobulin heavy chain, in the C-terminal region of the amino acid sequence of which a number of amino acid substitutions have been introduced in order to reduce the tendency of the protein to non-specific interference.
EFFECT: proteins and protein constructs containing such modified ISVs with improved properties may be useful in therapy and diagnostics.
