FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining industry and can be used for development of deposits of crystalline raw material with provision of high safety of high-purity quartz. Method of open mining of quartz vein includes identification of zones with the highest quality quartz in the core during operational accompanying exploration, and refinement of contours of zones with the highest quality quartz by drilling inclined exploratory wells. Most qualitative quartz is extracted by drilling out a core of large diameter with special equipment installed on the excavator and positioned taking into account the angle of incidence of the core. Drilling and separation of core of large diameter is carried out element-by-element to the height of the developed bench. Downhole charges of reduced diameter are arranged parallel to the contact of the vein with overburden rocks taking into account the angle of incidence. Finishing of the remaining reserves of zones with the highest quality quartz is carried out with a hydraulic hammer before breaking the remaining part of quartz raw material.

EFFECT: high technological efficiency while maintaining the natural quality and value of the extracted quartz material.
