FIELD: training means.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of education, to teaching aids as technical means of teaching in higher educational institutions, colleges and other educational institutions, where theoretical and technical mechanics is studied. Device for demonstrating deformation of a flexible rod on a plane comprises a bed, a vertical screen, movable toothed rack, teeth of which engage with teeth of gear located above surface of rack teeth and driven by manual handle. Toothed rack by its end is connected to the axis of one of the movable hinges, which moves inside the recess available for it on the surface of the screen. Axis of said hinge is elongated to allow attachment of one end of flexible rod. Other end of the flexible rod is secured on the other elongated axis. Said elongated axis is the axis of another movable hinge, which moves inside the recess available for it on the surface of the screen. One more toothed rack is connected to this specified axis by its end. This rack is mounted with a screen, and its teeth engage with teeth of another gear located above the surface of rack teeth and driven by a manual handle. To measure the value of deformation of the flexible rod, there are hooks on the surface of the rod for arrangement of strain gauges.
EFFECT: possibility of determining quantitative evaluation of the value of deformation, which increases visibility of demonstrating deformation of a flexible rod.
