FIELD: technical teaching aids.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of technical teaching aids in educational institutions of theoretical and technical mechanics. The device for demonstrating the directions of reactions of a flat design contains a frame, a vertical screen rigidly mounted with the frame, a movable block with an axis mounted with the screen, a flexible thread passing along the groove of the block, and a load located at the end of this thread. The flat structure is made of a movable gear rack mounted with a screen and a gear located above the surface of the rack teeth and driven by a manual handle having a common axis with the gear. The toothed rack is connected with its end to the axis of one of the movable hinges of the articulated-lever connection, which is two levers with hinges at the ends. Two levers are interconnected by means of a common hinge. All hinges are movable and move inside the grooves available on the screen surface. On the surface of the levers, the movable gear rack and the load there are hooks to which arrows are attached, indicating the direction of the reactions that occur during the operation of the device.
EFFECT: providing an increase in the visibility of the demonstration of the directions of reactions of a flat design.
