FIELD: education.
SUBSTANCE: device for demonstrating the directions of movement of a flat gear structure, comprising a frame, a screen rigidly mounted on the frame, located vertically, mounted with a screen of a movable rack, the teeth of which mesh with the teeth of a gear located above the surface of the teeth of the rack and driven by a manual handle located on the reverse side of the vertical screen and having a common axis with a gear. Through the rotational movement of the manual handle, the toothed rack engages with the teeth of the wheel located horizontally at a given distance S from the toothed gear. The predetermined distance S represents the distance between the axis of the toothed gear and the axis of the gear. The gear wheel rotates around its axis 8. The teeth of the gear wheel engage with the teeth of another gear placed above the said gear and rotating around its axis. The axes of the gears in question are mounted with a screen. To visualize the direction of translational and rotational movements of a flat gear structure, there are fasteners on the surface of the gear, movable rack and gear wheels for fixing arrows indicating the direction of movement.
EFFECT: clear demonstration of the directions of movement of a flat gear structure.
