FIELD: education.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to teaching aids as a technical teaching aid in universities, colleges and other educational institutions where theoretical and technical mechanics is studied. A device for demonstrating the directions of reactions of a flat pivot-rod structure, comprising a frame, a vertical screen rigidly mounted with the frame, mounted with a screen of a movable rack, the teeth of which engage with the teeth of a gear located above the surface of the rack teeth and driven by a manual handle, placed on the reverse side of the vertical screen and having a common axis with the gear, by rotational movement of the manual handle, the gear rack is connected with its end to the axis of one of the movable hinges of the pivot-rod connection. A pivot-rod connection is a connection of rods with axes of movable hinges located at their ends. All rods connected to the axes of the movable hinges have the ability to move relative to each other. All movable hinges move inside the recesses available on the surface of the screen. The upper rod of the pivot-rod connection is configured for adjusting the length. The extreme rod of the pivot-rod connection is connected by its end to the axis of the movable hinge moving inside its recess made on the surface of the screen. The working body is also connected with the same axis of the movable hinge, which is made in the form of a hook to visualize the movement. To visualize the direction of reactions on the surface of the rods of the pivot-rod connection, the movable gear rack and the hook, there are hooks for attaching arrows indicating the direction of the reactions that occur during the operation of the device.
EFFECT: clear demonstration of the directions of reactions of a flat pivot-rod structure.
