SUBSTANCE: use for placement of digital marking on radiographic image of welded joint during industrial radiographic control. Substance of the invention consists in the fact that in the control device the image binarization method is applied to the radiographic image of the welded joint, as a result of which a binarized radiographic image is obtained, on which the area of digital marking is then determined, at which: taking into account that the area for placing the digital marking must be determined against the background of the binarized radiographic image, must be of the same size as the placed digital marking, and should not intersect with other objects located on the radiographic image; determining the number of pixels on the binarized radiographic image, which are identified as the background of the image; performing binarized radiographic image processing by successive enumeration of image pixels, while calculating number of pixels, which are identified as image background, selecting a shape region on the binarized radiographic image, which includes only pixels which are identified as the background of the image, and corresponds to the size of the digital marking.

EFFECT: reducing the time spent when applying digital marking on the radiographic image of the welded joint during radiographic inspection of the quality of the welded joint, as well as improving the reliability and convenience of applying said marking.
