FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to random access memory modules. Module includes a data storage unit configured to provide, upon request, to the system board to which the module is connected, the settings data of the random-access memory module. Data storage unit includes a microcontroller configured to transmit data via the i2c protocol as a slave device, with the possibility, in the installed state of the RAM module, to provide the system board with the RAM module settings data in response to the request of the RAM controller of the system board via the i2c bus, as well as with the possibility of transmitting a control signal to the buffer unit. Buffer unit is connected in series to the data line of the i2c bus and is configured to switch to any one of the following signal transmission modes under the influence of the microcontroller control signal: bidirectional or unidirectional, wherein in unidirectional mode, the buffer unit allows reception of signals by the microcontroller and blocks transmission of signals by the microcontroller along the data line.
EFFECT: faster operation of the RAM module.
