FIELD: nuclear physics and engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear engineering and can be used in pulsed reactors of solution type. A method for operating the housing of a pulsed solution nuclear reactor with a periodic process of low-temperature annealing of its housing and internal equipment includes heating and cooling of the housing and internal equipment. In this case, the housing and internal devices during the operation of the reactor are subjected to low-temperature annealing of the structural material, involving heating of the housing and its internal devices by increasing the temperature of the uranyl sulphate solution or other salt solution to 250–280 °C, holding at preset temperature for 50–150 hours and cooling to temperature of standby mode of operation.
EFFECT: invention enables long-term and safe operation of the housing of the pulsed solution nuclear reactor.
