FIELD: veterinary microbiology.

SUBSTANCE: developed is a test system for identification of DNA of Japanese pilchard (Sardinops melanostictus) tissue, in fish products, in meat-and-bone fish meal and fodders, consisting of oligonucleotide primers and probes: Sm-FGGTAGAGCAATTCCCTGCGT—primer; Sm-RCCGAGTCCCCTCATGGTTTT—primer; Sm-ZR6G CATTGGACTATTAGGACCCGCA BHQ1—probe; T4F TACATATAAATCACGCAAAGC—forward primer; T4RTAGTATGGCTAATCTTATTGG—reverse primer; T4P CY5 ACATTGGCACTGACCGAGTTC—a probe, a positive control sample in the form of a mixture containing a bacteriophage T4 in the form of a suspension with concentration of 5×103 phage particles per 1 mcl and fragments of animal genomes taken at ratio of 1:1.

EFFECT: broader functional capabilities and high accuracy of identifying fish tissue species—Japanese pilchard (Sardinops melanostictus) using a PCR test system.
