FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of water-soluble and water-dispersible articles, which are used as a package to simplify dispersion, filling, dissolution and dosing of the composition to be delivered. Multilayer water-dispersible article, optionally a film, includes a wax layer including wax, and an intermediate area located between the water-soluble polymer layer and the wax layer containing a mixture of water-soluble polymer and wax, wherein wax is present in amount of about 5–200 parts by weight. per 100 parts by weight. water-soluble polymer, and water-dispersible article has moisture vapor transmission rate (MVTR) of about 60–300 g H2O/m2/day. Also disclosed is a method of making a multilayer water-dispersible article.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain water-dispersible articles which can retain aggressive chemicals and/or other materials which can be affected by the presence of moisture, but which remain water-dispersible after contact with said chemical and/or materials.
