FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, namely to an electrode for a lithium accumulator battery, comprising a metal layer with a coating layer applied thereon, containing a binder and a highly dispersed metal compound, a method for synthesis of such an electrode and its use in lithium storage batteries. Technical result is provided by the fact that the electrode containing a metal layer is provided with a coating layer, which is made of an organic binder and a metal compound selected from the group consisting of aluminum oxide, silicon dioxide, zirconium oxide, mixed oxides containing zirconium, mixed oxides containing aluminum, lithium-zirconium phosphate and mixtures thereof, wherein the metal compound consists of aggregates of primary particles with a number-average primary particle size of (5–100) nm, which are obtained by a pyrogenic method, and weight ratio of metal compound to organic binder in coating layer is from 0.1 to 10. Particle size in the range of sizes (d90–d10)/d50 enables to obtain a high-quality coating of the lithium electrode. Electrode preferably contains a layer of metal with thickness (2–500) mcm, more preferably (3–300) mcm, more preferably (5–200) mcm, wherein the metal layer can be deposited on the metal foil of the lithium electrode using any suitable method, for example, by vacuum deposition.
EFFECT: increased resistance of lithium-metal accumulator battery to cycling.
