FIELD: rail vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to monitoring of state of railway transport overhead system. Automated system for monitoring the weight of wires (ASMWW) of compensated catenary suspension of railway contains strain gauges for carrying cable for contact wire, units for collection and transmission of information and central unit of information collection. Strain gauge for the load-carrying cable is fixed between the rod for attachment of the fixed roller of the load-compensating devices of the load-carrying cable and the fixed roller itself and is connected to the first data collection and transmission unit. Strain gauge for the contact wire is fixed between the rod for attachment of the fixed roller of the load-compensating devices of the contact wire and the fixed roller itself and is connected to the second data collection and transmission unit. Units for collection and transmission of information are arranged on support of contact network and contain self-contained power supply, microprocessor device and device of radio communication with central unit of information collection, located at dispatcher station.
EFFECT: possibility of measuring the weight of the compensated catenary in order to determine the fact of icing on wires and cable of the catenary.
